The Book of B&B (Basslines and Baseball)

Hello America,

First of all, thank you Mike C. for the gracious comments you left, I do appreciate it.

Secondly, Congrats to the Cardinals

After game 5, the detroit tigers commented the pressure is on Texas to win.

Since when is pressure a bad thing, America?

I can't remember which player made that comment but it has irked me for three days.

Today, Detroit and the nation You are in the DFW area, pressure personified.  Everything is bigger in Texas, EVERYTHING, from our expectations to our goals.  We protect Presidents, we produce American Idols, we produce ground breaking artists from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kirk Franklin, Erykah Badu, Norah Jones, we win, we outdo ourselves to make fried delicacies, we named our fair mascot, Big Tex, because what else would be fitting.

We have the largest stadium although it being in Tarrant County and home of the Dallas Cowboys will always be a sore spot. You are in the midst of a state that produces 40% of GDP on ITS OWN.  and a good 65% of that is in this area.

What we do, how we perform, from a mama getting her baby to school on time, to the CEO of the many corporate headquarters, to a young man deciding whether to break the law and feed his child and suffer the consequences or follow the law and let his child go hungry because he is legal and subject to law enforcement unlike "good" illegals.  From an addict of any kind, saying not today…….

We don't feel pressure down here, we don't get under pressure down here,

We are Pressure.

Because Pressure is what each and every legal American citizen FACES EVERYDAY.  Whether it is, trying to make it to work being called ugly things because your job is on wall street, or being called racist because you don't judge on race, or having the audacity to say Herman Cain step up sir, or having the courage to keep following rules when your President, or your Congress or law enforcement, don't.

That's Pressure.

This country was created on pressure, pressure from men's soul deciding I want to be free, what I earn is mine, I am not giving my work, my money to no king because someone said his blood line is greater than mine, I am not going to tell another man who and what to worship.

Pressure made the tea party.

Pressure is putting on a Texas Ranger uniform after Dirk and the mavericks of all people, saying we the best louder than DJ Khaled, and if you know DJ Khaled, that's pretty loud.

Pressure according to the historically black fraternity of Kappa Alpha Psi, turns a coal into a diamond.  That is the American miracle we depend on.

Pressure made Steve Jobs say I think I can make a mini computer.  Made NASA say we going to build something to take us to the moon.

Pressure made MLK say, I am tired of being judged on my race, for the content of my character far exceeds the melanin of my skin.

Pressure is deciding whether to buy your medication or your baby's diapers.  Pressure is trying to raise children with morals and values when a society and a President says, don't earn, beg, take, demonize.
Each and every one of us, from the moment we go to bed, dear sirs, faces a pressure that breaks us into pieces of coal and maybe that's what Perry meant when he said America is the Saudi Arabia of coal ;) ( just playing, I do love you, Gov. Perry, not for President, but you are my brother.........always know that. always........) or that breaks us into diamonds that jacob the jeweler don't need a loupe to see its clarity......

That's life here.

The weekly addresses today reflect pressure.

Obama is trying to blame the koolaid man, dick cheney, flava flav, girl scouts, anybody he can because he can't withstand the pressure, he never could.

Chokers crack under pressure.  They fold they succumb to pressure.

The GOP is trying to say it ain't our fault, we got job plans as well because now they are starting to see that the #ows protests, sit in, large cyphers (groups of people usually smoking weed indulging in freestyle raps, poetry or open dialogue) ;) , however you want to view it, is part of a geo-political media push to use class and race to unify the world and destroy the diamond of freedom and liberty that is America spreading all over the world in the attempts to break us and our allies.

I apply pressure to Herman Cain because saying you going to get some advisors, ain't good enough for me.  I need to know who.  Saying I am going to step up, ain't good enough for me, I need him to "meet the press"  and be honest and open.

We have already had one dude learn on the job and our country's soul is on a lifeline because of it.

And I will continue to do concerning anyone who has the audacity to say they want to lead

Not out of hate or disrespect, but a simple truth.  Champs conquer pressure, chokers crack because it.

Let's have a quick personal story, these weekly addresses, and Mr. Bowie and we are out.

I came home last night and the street was quiet, my dogs haven't eaten their food in two days which means someone is feeding themI have this neighbor who has been trying to steal my dogs, my stuff from the day I moved in.  Some people earn, some people steal.  We all God's children, I don't judge.

The only thing that bothers me about this neighbor is that she stays in my face while trying to steal from me.  I find that dishonorable.  You bold enough to break in someone's home which is their sacred ground, the least you can do is to respect by not being in their face.

I see my neighbors as I walk and I live on a lively street, no one wants to speak, everyone turns their heads, which in black culture usually means something bad is going to happen, everyone wants to look, but in a strange respect for that person you don't speak.

Sure enough, as I get to my house, passing by all of my neighbors peering through their screens, two folk emerge with the specific intent on hurting me, grabbing my keys and taking my stuff through the back yard which is why the backyard neighbor has been feeding the dogs all week. I knew I just chose not to say anything because if she says something then I will be forced to say something, I am too tired, too busy for that. I have two full grown vicious when they need to be pitbulls.

Pressure.  I can't fight them both.  I am sick, although my wound is healing, I have colon and liver issues now permanent and on almost bed rest for the next four months.

Pressure.  If I call for help, none of my neighbors will help.  I don't get high, or sit outside and party, and praise Obama and hate the white man all day.

Pressure, If I call 911, Dallas Police Department have shown me time and time again, my pleas don't count, because of my open stance on  many issues, I am a bad legal vs a good illegal.

But because of the fact that getting home safely in a neighborhood full of folk determined to harm you, but because of the fact that I don't let anyone tell me who to vote for, or to walk the party line, or not speak my truths as I see them.

I didn't run away.  I stopped in front of my house because I wanted them to come to me because that is the only chance I had.

I didn't fall to pressure, I became pressure.  B/c it forced their hands.

I read the pitcher for Detroit today has an alter ego named Mad Max and when it is needed, his catcher asks that person to come alive to step up to the pressure.

I read the pitcher for Texas today said he will be calmer, and simply focus on his mechanics to become the pressure.

See the difference, America.

Let's get to these weekly addresses as this post will stand until Monday.  I can't go to church yet, but I want to spend tomorrow with God and my family..........
let’s see who succumbs to the pressure

I changed my mind, read them for yourself, but I will give the links for them right here.

obama's weekly address

the gop response by rep. mccarthy

Not really here to argue the merits of what Rep. McCarthy is advocating outside of the balanced budget amendment.  It is something all of us have to do in real life, we don’t have a fed printing up money for us or a china to lend us money to fund programs that work, that don’t work but are headed by campaign donors.  And a small business owner proposing things and hurdles he went through in his own struggle to keep a business, is nothing any one of us can demonize although I am sure someone will find a way before the Sunday political shows.

Champs chump chokers because chokers crack every single time.

I love songs that just tell the truth

Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah
Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah

Pressure, pushing down on me
Pressing down on you, no man ask for
Under pressure, that burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets

Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah
Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah

That's o-kay
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming `Let me out'
Pray tomorrow takes me higher
Pressure on people, people on streets

Doh doh doh bah bah bah bah
Chipping around, kick my brains around the floor
These are the days it never rains but it pours
People on streets, people on streets

It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about,
Watching some good friends
Screaming `Let me out'
Pray tomorrow takes me higher
Pressure on people, people on streets

Turned away from it all, like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don't work
Keep coming up with love
But it's so slashed and torn
Why why why?
Love love love love

Insanity laughs, under pressure we're cracking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance
Why can't we give love one more chance
Why can't we give love, give love, give love, give love, give love

Cause love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care
For the people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves

This is our last dance (x2)
This is ourselves
Under pressure
Under pressure

Whether you like baseball don’t really matter today, whether you for the rangers or the tigers don’t really matter today.

How one team and one political party handle pressure versus the other team or party does?

There is no song to play today, I like this song, but that’s me, but the words are what matter.

We have a system in which one side chooses to inflame emotion to rise up to the pressure in its players,

One realizing that the pressure they face is part of life, and instead of rising up to meet pressure, calming down to embrace it and celebrate it as a chance to focus on the task that is at hand using the team that they are blessed with.

Champs conquer.

Chokers crack.

It is just that simple.

Good Luck, Mr. Holland and if you wanna make your mustache thicker, Feldman got plenty to spare ;)  better yet, Feldman let Romo have some of that mustache, maybe the TEAM NOT I mentality will permeate ;)

The 2010 AL champs who earned the best record becoming pressure have the chance to earn the 2011 AL title.

We are Texas Rangers, Detroit and America,

We don’t fear pressure, we don’t rise above it, we don’t live under it,

play ball!
