Reflections (Chapter 8)

Hello America,

Congrats to all of the teams that made the playoffs ...

I am sure that it will be a great series.

I am not going to be long...  But we are going to use the disciple Paul, Jerry Jones, Mark Cuban and the Texas Rangers management to talk about this fiscal cliff and consequences.......

My mom listens to J. Vernon McGee, a pastor who as out of Pasadena, still has a radio network.  Been listening to him all my life.

And yesterday, he spoke of Paul who was ministering to some prison guards and fellow inmates during his time in jail.

The Pastor said had they not been "chained together"  they would have missed the opportunity for reflection that God had provided for all of them......

Last night what needed to happen, happened, I understand RGIII, and the real story of the game, a bonafide back and big ups to AP as well.  Boomer Sooner...

But more than that, Tony Romo was who he was......

Consistently Inconsistent.

And for the first time on Jerry Jones' face, I think he saw all of the talent from Luck, to Cousins, Griffith, to both of Seattle's qb's flash before his eyes...

My point of it is.......

Jerry needed last night to understand that the Dallas Cowboys and the city of Dallas are "chained together"  you can be a fan from elsewhere but it's different when your address says Dallas.......

And when you reward inconsistency and get rid of players and coaches who have the audacity and truth.......

you take the namesake of your organization into valleys of embarrassment, nobody cares about losing to the Redskins, but it's the way we lost.

Mark Cuban, decided the potential of a system point guard and an impulsive center who both have gotten their coaches fired , was worth not paying a center who was a physical and emotional leadership force.  He wanted the chance for two players who hold teams at hostage with no qualms and gave up a man the community had a vested interest in knowing, the fading Dirk was no more than 2 or 3 years away.

The Mavericks got whopped by the Spurs so bad, the news people failed to show it, despite it all, it is the Mavericks, not the Bulls, Not the Clippers, not the heat who have the longest sold out game streak......

And because of Mark Cuban's insistence on showing that he is "real big time owner" , the city of Dallas is once again chained with embarrassment not because of losing but because it didn't have to be this way.

Dallas Mavericks and the city are "chained together"

Lastly, the Texas Rangers needed to do what needed to be done for the first part and got played by the players they invested the most in....

Josh Hamilton knew he checked out last year, but didn't have the courage to tell the organization nor the fans... Zach G, knew he wasn't going to sign with the Rangers, but they kept playing along..

So once again, with so many familiar faces gone, the Rangers have a better prognosis than the former two teams that represent Dallas...

Why?  B/c of the 37 year old catcher they signed......

Not because of his stats......

Because the man gives a damn and anyone from what I have read that plays with him, against him knows it.

He and the Rangers and the city of Dallas are "Chained Together".........

One story, a brief disclaimer and I'm done.

God came to me last night and said "You know you and Lebron's birthday are pretty close and it's going to be hard on him being so successful in his sport and still supporting the Cowboys..... it's not going to be well tonight.. No Run Defense,  "

I sat back and I thought about what he said "You know God the older I get, the more I realize that Lebron is a good guy, he just trying to make the best of a situation that he's dealt, he don't pump himself up..... The Marketing execs do.  I guess he reminds me of myself so much hype and that burden of not fulfilling it.  He has begun to do so...... I have not. "

And God and I sit there for awhile......  And he leaves me with Game Tape of Lebron, not from the plays but from the interviews....  from the rookie season until last week.....

My simple point is that the beautiful thing about life is that we are all "chained together" in some way.

Jerry Jones is the Republican Party, too stubborn to realize that their ability to pick and market political talent has eroded and because of that, mediocrity is chained with Republican party.

Mark Cuban is the Democratic Party, too glip to realize that hard work and honor is much harder to find that some pop star like political figure in Barack, so a lack of reality is chained with the Democratic party.

The Texas Rangers is the American citizens, lied to, used and played by the people listed above that supposed to be there for them, but pressing on and keeping on......... so dedication is chained with the American people.

The time for outright declaration of removal of power from the government ain't here YET.

But if things do not change, this nation and its government will be "chained together" in a civil war with a weakened defense, that Harry Reid the senate majority leader and Barack Obama took advantage through their failure to produce a budget for 4 years.

Had we had a budget, we wouldn't be here today and Obama with Pelosi as speaker and without has never had one, which gives him a free pass to spend recklessly.

I ask President Obama, Speaker Boehner, and Harry Reid........ to look deep within themselves as this sports owners have to do this morning and analyze who is chained with you.

Because we all in this together, call me a lot of things, I'm not a terrorist, I just tell you the things that NSA don't want to.   But at the end of the day, it's folks like me that will give their lives to protect folks like you because its about the position not the man exploiting it.....

We all will take the fall, Obama, ALL OF US, including me.

THERE WILL BE NO UP AND DOWN VOTE in the house and we will keep falling until we get a deal with real cuts and real reform.

Sorry Money Mitch, you can do what you want with Biden, and help him look ready for 2016 b/c that's what it's about......

But we run the house, we run the money, and we not budging.

We chained to reform.

I'll be back tomorrow.............Still watching these Lebron tapes.  Trying to figure out what is God telling me that I am chained together with an NBA superstar who I can't even afford a jersey of ;)
