The Road to DC (Chapter 18)

Hello America,

I will not be long today as this will be finished on Monday......

But there are some big games being played tonight and the one I want to focus on is the Heat/Pacers Eastern Conference Finals.

Again, there was some missed calls that although were rectified after the fact... had it been correctly called in the game, could have made an impact...

but today this series is just like my life......

none of the what should have happened matters.

All that matters is what I can do now.

I looked at Lebron James screaming at his teammates because what myself and others that have been berated for being honest with him is coming true.

You can be the greatest player in the NBA...  your stats can be great and you can command the highest salary but at what cost?  B/c teams only have so much to spend.

You can't pass to yourself, you can't play a whole team by yourself.

And now he is realizing Wade is hurt, and Bosh is frankly tired of his ass, along with some of the team, they have their own dreams, they have their aspirations....

And now there is a situation where a 28 year old man is hollering at men who were in the league while he was asking for his junior high school sweetheart out on a date...........

Versus a team, that got mad and frustrated as we all do when we young.....

I think about where I am politically, now I'm at a point where folks are expecting for me to be on the ballot.  I don't have the manpower I need yet, but it will come ....

But now it's time for video, it's time for my website, it's time for my first official impression to the nation.

What do I say?  What don't I say?

And I thought about the two Big men in this series....

Bosh is at a point where he's reinvented himself as a small forward and 3 point specialist, not really feeling the paint... rather take chances on the outside.

And Hibbert who is at a point where he's reinvented himself to be what Hoya Centers supposed to be.....

Willing to get nasty, willing to protect block, alter, a lot of tap in shots, a lot of hooks, a lot of this is my zone, this is my paint, it's consequences to enter this zone.

Finesse vs Power.....

That's what this position battle is, because frankly this is what this series is about.

This is what my political next move is about.....

So I went back to films of every Hoya Center, I've admired and basically every center that has been dominating the league...

And I went back to films and books about every dominating politician on both sides of the aisle in the past 30 years....

did the same thing with NBA with finesse centers like Hakeem and politicians, like Ted Kennedy.....

did some soul searching as I hope both of teams have been doing today.....

Then I cried because I made my decision what I'm going to do....

I made my decision of how I'm going to play my position and I know in my heart, I'm going to win, not being arrogant, just being honest...

And I thought as I begin to make my video statements was it worth the loss of my life this is going to cost me because when you step on certain courts and begin to play the game of your life, there is no stepping back, no time to change your mind

God approached me and just looked and nodded his head.....

and I simply said

If it's your time, it's your time
but your actions gotta be a little bit bolder
Who says victory was gonna be an easy road
You gotta go through something
You can't sit back waiting and remembering
Gotta be wide awake, to make this your dream

If you all are serious about this
Make each possession one you can't miss
Walk into your fieldhouse with your brothers and just trust
Indiana means hard work, and hard fights
Because that's what blue collars are in this life
Man up, buck up and give it all you got tonight

Yes, they going to rumble
But are you going to fold like they want you to
Make this moment one you can always look back
on and know you didn't give in
Didn't break or bend
because on this night, you understood why teamwork equals victory

If you all are serious about this
Make each possession one you can't miss
Walk into your fieldhouse with your brothers and just trust
Indiana means hard work, and hard fights
Because that's what blue collars are in this life
Man up, buck up and give it all you got tonight

If you all are serious about this
Make each possession one you can't miss
Walk into your fieldhouse with your brothers and just trust
Indiana means hard work, and hard fights
Because that's what blue collars are in this life
Man up, buck up and give it all you got tonight

What I'm saying tonight Pacers of the NBA and of the political world, as you drive to the fieldhouse... understand  blue collars mean hard work, it means working together, it means even when you not doing well Lance Stephenson :), you don't flip out and worry because your brothers are there, and if you can't help out, you can make sure you don't hurt....

There is only one chance that you can guarantee you can take advantage of , and that's right now...

And if you going to do it right, then do it right, however, minutes, rebounds, pics, tip in whatever it takes.....

it's not complicated.....

it's time close the door on the pick up truck, roll up your sleeves and straighten up that blue collar,

because it's going to hard work and hard fights tonight

and that's all what blue collars are in this life.

That's true for this game, that's true for me, that's true for anyone

and any real championship team, not just  an individual  for a star is just a reflection of light from a deeper source......

not only understands that, they exemplify it.

Have a great safe game for both teams.
